About Yarm EMS
Meet Ali
Ali Bramwell was born in Durham and moved to Darlington when he was 10 years old. With an inherent love and talent for fitness, he pursued his passion by studying sports science at A-level, later graduating with a degree in Sports Management and Science from Nottingham Trent University.
After a stint of travelling, Ali joined Bannatyne’s Health Club as a part time Fitness Specialist, gradually rising up the ranks via full time Fitness Specialist, Senior Fitness Specialist and Personal Trainer to Duty Manager and then Fitness Manager.
In 2009, after seven years with Bannatyne’s, he joined Rockliffe Hall Hotel Golf and Spa where, as part of the pre-opening team he devised and implemented processes and procedures for the resort’s wellbeing offering.
Initially serving as Fitness Manager, over an 11-year tenure, he transitioned into the role of Fitness and Facilities Manager and then Spa Operations Manager, always keeping an eye out for equipment and techniques to enhance the client journey and experience. As part of the Executive Team at this multi-award-winning spa resort, Ali was involved with the design and build of the £1.1 million Spa Garden Development and held the lead role in operational delivery.
Founding Yarm EMS
Discovering EMS (Electro-Muscular Stimulation) at a fitness conference was a massive game-changer for Ali.
Already operated with great success across more than 2000 facilities in Germany, 500 in France and with a growing fan base in Australia and the U.S., he saw an opportunity to bring this revolutionary equipment to the people of Teesside and the North East.
In 2021, Ali took the road less travelled and with a £20k investment, Yarm EMS Fitness Training was born.
